To the editor:
At present, and for many years, I have been an ardent admirer of the Island Institute, its publications, its mission. Four years of the Island Journal are on permanent display in my living room.

So, here is my problem. I have seldom, if ever, been able to read all the articles in any issue of Working Waterfront. This time, page 1 is continued on page 4 and page 11. Page 3 is continued on page 6. Page 5 is also continued on page 6. Page 7 is continued on page 16. Page 8 is continued on page 17. Page 9 is continued on page 28. Page 10 is continued on page 13. And also on page 14. Page 13 is continued on page 26.

If I should become interested in an article, wishing to read it from beginning to end, then, to what page do I turn in order to get to the second article? And, if I manage that, how about the second article?

This letter shows that it can be done (I think). But how many readers will miss good articles because they don’t wish to go through this process? And is it really necessary, or just sloppy editing?
