You should consider enforcement of your op-ed policy. Phil Crossman’s political views have no particular relationship to island life that I can see and may not even represent a consensus of Vinalhaven’s caucus, for all we know. If you want to report on such events, then send a reporter.

When I received my Working Waterfront March 2004, the first thing I always do is turn to the back page – hoping to see something by either Phil Crossman or Rusty Warren! It seems that Karen Jackson has the back page this month. So I decided to flip through the rest of your paper and found Phil Crossman’s “Caucusin’ Collectively” on page 9. Being a Democrat and a future voter for John Kerry, I say “two thumbs up” to Phil.
