UMaine is proposing the deployment of two full-scale floating wind turbines in the approved test site south of Monhegan Island and connection of those turbines to the power grid on the main land near New Harbor. The informational meetings are being organized as an informal presentation to allow time for discussion of questions and concerns by residents of the local communities.
The meetings will be held:
* Thursday, Nov. 14, 6-8 p.m. at the Bristol Consolidated School.
* Monday, Nov. 25, 6-8 p.m. at the Herring Gut Learning Center in Port Clyde.
