Holly Walker, a 2006 graduate of Vinalhaven High School, autographed her new book, Vinalhaven A to Z: An Alphabet Book of Places, at the Vinalhaven Historical Society on July 30.
The historical society provided photos and information for Walker’s book project. “While writing this book,” Walker said, “I learned information about Vinalhaven that I never knew — I am hoping that this book will help Vinalhaven students appreciate the history of their island.”
Proceeds from the book will be split between the historical society and the Vinalhaven school library.
