Heather L. Pendleton Corson obtained a degree in Dental Hygiene from the University College of Bangor on May 13.
Corson, along with her sister Carrie, a recent graduate from the Down East School of Massage, are the first members of their family, on their island maternal side, to pursue and complete their higher education goals.
Corson is a 1995 graduate of Islesboro Central School. She attended Southern Vermont College for two years before enrolling in the Dental Hygienist program in Bangor. A dean’s list student, she has interned at Dr. Edward Zanca’s dental office for several summers.
