Re: Sally Noble’s article in the December 2003/January 2004 issue of Working Waterfront/Island News – I would certainly hope that the landing strip on Matinicus is 1,700 feet long and not 1,700 -square-feet as stated in the article. A helicopter could land on that area but I question what kind of pilot could put a Cessna down safely on that area.
