The Maine Community Foundation has announced six scholarships available for Knox County Students. Below is a list of the scholarships, as well as eligibility requirements and contact information.

The Edward L. Baxter Scholarship Fund is an award that provides financial assistance to graduating Seniors of Rockland District High School who are planning to attend a post-secondary or technical college. Recipients will be students exhibiting good character, good citizenship, need and ambition. Students interested in this scholarship should contact the RDHS guidance office.

The M. Alton French Scholarship Trust assists deserving students who are residents of Lincolnville, Camden, Hope, Appleton, Rockport, Northport and Islesboro in furthering their educational career by attending a post-secondary school or technical college. Recipients will be chosen based upon need, record of scholarship and promise of leadership. The Joseph and Dorothy Headley Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to students who have been residents of Vinalhaven for three or more years, who are planning to attend a post-secondary or technical college. Recipients will be selected based upon character, citizenship, financial need and ambition. Any Vinalhaven resident who is 35 or younger is eligible for this award. The Howard A. Tribou Scholarship Fund is a scholarship created to provide scholarship support to Rockport and Camden residents who are graduates of Camden Hills Regional High School. For information on this scholarship, students should contact the Camden Hills Guidance Office.

The Thomas E. Watkinson Scholarship Fund is a scholarship that assists graduates of Rockland District High School who have been residents of Owls Head from the 8th grade through graduation. For more information on this scholarship students must contact the Rockland District High School guidance office.

The Marion T. Weidman Scholarship Fund is a scholarship that helps high school graduates who are residents of Rockport. Students interested in this scholarship should contact the Cam-den Hills Regional High School guidance office.
