Ever wonder what a mixture of Scooby Doo, the Food Network, and Monty Python would look like? Vinalhaven High School’s sophomore English class gave a glimpse on Saturday, Feb. 8, with their dinner theater production of “Oh Crêpe!” at Vinalhaven’s Union Church. The original play, written by sophomore Nathan Wiley, takes place in Paris and follows an intrepid gang of sleuths and their poodle Fifi as they try to track down Chef Bordeaux’s stolen crêpe recipe. In between scenes the actors served a three-course meal prepared by local restaurateurs Lonnie and Kathy Morton. Playing to a sold-out house, the sophomores, advised by English teacher Emily Wright, gave the crowd a great show and a great meal while raising money for their class.
